This image could tell a thousand stories, depending what you read into it. I thought it was one of those ‘lucky’ shot moments.

A place I found along one of the beaches in William Bay National Park, Denmark. I had to crawl over some slippery rocks to get back into what seemed like a cave area hidden away. The water flowing out onto the beach came from out of the mountain side, and cut it’s way through the sand in a snake-like pattern.
I took this shot late in the evening close to the place we were staying at in Denmark. We hadn’t spotted the kangaroos straight away, as they were hiding back in the shadows between the trees. I had to rest the camera on a fence post as I didn’t have my tripod with me at the time, so I could slow the shutter enough to capture the light. ISO 400 F/5.6
I had been trying to get a decent shot of a wren the entire time I was South. I simply adore these little birds, they are incredibly fast though and just when you think you are about to get the perfect composition, they’re gone before the camera even has time to focus. I was lucky enough to get fairly close to this little male without spooking him too much. This shot was taken in William Bay National Park, Denmark WA.
Elephant Rocks is an amazing place in William Bay National Park, Denmark. I was quite in awe of the colossal size of those rocks, easy to see how the place gets its name, it looks exactly like a herd of massive elephants have gathered in the bay. Beautiful area, and I was lucky enough to get a good panorama as the sun just crept out behind the rain clouds overhead. 13 image stitch!! this has to be the largest pano I’ve done.
Here’s one of me capturing the image.
