Took this image on the Denmark river.
A very cute Dusky-Orange Lory.
Got this shot while we were driving along the Bussell Highway just outside of Margaret River, I spotted him out the side of the car as we drove past, swooping in to land on the fence. We pulled up and I crept up as close as I could along the fenceline.
Another wren shot. Got this little one in Albany along the Lake Seppings walk track.
I had been trying to get a decent shot of a wren the entire time I was South. I simply adore these little birds, they are incredibly fast though and just when you think you are about to get the perfect composition, they’re gone before the camera even has time to focus. I was lucky enough to get fairly close to this little male without spooking him too much. This shot was taken in William Bay National Park, Denmark WA.
Wow, it’s been a long time since the last post, I’ve been pretty busy the last couple of months with getting married and now just getting back from my honeymoon. Thankfully after spending a couple of weeks down in the beautiful South West region of WA, I’ve ended up with some lovely pictures. So much to see down there, so little time. So over the next few days as I’m sorting through all the happy snaps, landscapes and bird photos, I’ll be uploading a few more.
Firstly, one of my favourites. A gorgeous female Red-Tailed Black Cockatoo taken in Denmark.
A galah I snapped yesterday in the rain. He was happily munching on a sunflower.
