In memory of the soldiers that gave their lives to defend this beautiful country. The Desert Mounted Corps Memorial, Mt Clarence, Albany.
Lest we forget…the ANZACS

Found this little leafless orchid while down south, came across it in a sandy gravel pit where most of the surrounding area had been burnt out. I love going out orchid hunting when the season is right, often find some amazing flowers, they can be so small, delicate and colourful, yet you almost always find them it what seems like the harshest of areas.
Nanarup is just a short 30min drive from Albany town. A beautiful pristine beach located in the Two Peoples Bay National Park. Walking up the beach from the Taylor Inlet brings you to a tall windy stone staircase that leads up to the very top of the stone hill from where this picture was taken. A gorgeous sight, was well worth the breathless climb up.
A photo of me, my wife took as I was getting the shot.
A big thank you to my amazing wife, Melanie, for all the running around, chasing dwindling sunlight and climbing big hills she shared with me on this trip.
